Welcome to Deangate Ridge

About the course

Deangate Ridge is an 18 hole, par 71 course measuring 6,300-yards. Set among rolling parkland and trees, it has well-kept fairways and greens and offers a challenge to golfers of all standards, from the complete novice to the professional.

Opened in 1972 by the boxer, Sir Henry Cooper, and designed by the world-renowned F.W. Hawtree, the course boasts high quality fairways, and greens of private club quality. It is however, one of the most reasonably priced courses in the south-east.

The course has a number of memorable holes. Great views off the tee hide a shot that is anything but clear-cut on the par 3 fourth hole, that is both Beauty and the Beast. However the narrow, tree-lined 204-yard par 3 17th hole is just plain Beast. The most breathtaking (literally) has to be the 392-yard, par 4 sixth hole nicknamed "Cardiac Hill".
